BBTC ACTIVATOR PROGRAM

Equity Impact Assessments (EIA)

BBTC SIGNATURE WORKSHOPS

This immersive 8-week experience weaves together all three pillars to fast-track inclusive leadership and cultural transformation. Fully customisable to your organisation’s needs, the Activator Program blends intensive learning, practical application, and guided reflection.

The program unfolds in three key phases:

Pre-Session Phase (Weeks 1–4)

Participants begin with light-touch preparation to spark curiosity, build shared language, assess baseline readiness, and lay the groundwork for deep, meaningful learning.

All-Day Immersive Workshop (Week 5)

A powerful, full-day experience that brings all three cultural pillars to life—blending storytelling, brave conversation, and collective action to activate the head, heart, and hands, and culminating in a co-designed Activator Plan for lasting, real-world impact.

Post-Session Integration (Weeks 6–8)

To keep the fire burning, we deliver a series of follow-up touchpoints designed to activate and embed learning:

  • Better Together Toolkit – Key takeaways, tools, and prompts
  • Nudges – Bite-sized reminders via video, audio, or written form
  • Nano Learning Series – Short videos to reinforce critical concepts
Follow up Workshop – A space to share success stories, troubleshoot challenges, and deepen insight.

Equity Impact Assessments (EIA)

Equity Impact Assessments (EIA)

An Equity Impact Assessment (EIA) is a structured, evidence-informed process used to evaluate how policies, programs, practices, or decisions affect different population groups, particularly those who are marginalised or underrepresented. At BBTC, we offer EIAs as both a strategic advisory service and a practical training program, equipping organisations with the capability to embed equity from design to delivery.

Our approach is:

  • Grounded in intersectional and systemic thinking.
  • Tailored to each organisation’s context and needs.
  • Designed to uncover barriers, unintended consequences, and opportunities for inclusion.
  • Action-oriented, supporting equitable outcomes across strategy, policy, communications, and culture.

EIA's are especially powerful during:

  • Policy, program, and service design or review.
  • Strategic planning and transformation.
  • DEI, leadership, and culture initiatives seeking measurable impact.

Examples of EIA’s

  • A non-profit wants to expand its service to a new pool of beneficiaries. They partner with BBTC to conduct an EIA to ensure their roll-out plan is intentionally designed with culturally diverse communities in mind.
  • A tech company is rolling out a new employee engagement strategy and wants to conduct an EIA at prototype phase to ensure the final program meets the needs of their diverse workforce now, and in the future.

By building internal capacity to conduct EIAs, we help organisations move from intent to action ensuring equity is not an afterthought but a guiding principle.n.

BUILDING CAPABILITY AND CONFIDENCE

High-impact programs that sit at the intersection of Leadership, Workplace Culture & DEI.

By partnering with you, our mission is to accelerate learning and capability development, equipping individuals and organizations to cultivate inclusive, high-performing cultures. These transformative, interactive programs draw from First Nations, Kenyan, and Queer cultural influences, forming three foundational pillars that guide every experience: Yarning, Kiki, and Harambee.

The future of work is evolving rapidly, and organizations are increasingly faced with new challenges that require a diverse skillset. According to the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report, the top emerging skills for businesses in 2025 include critical thinking, creativity, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness—skills that our programs are specifically designed to develop.

We address the key capability gaps at the intersection of leadership, workplace culture, and DEI by fostering the following emerging skills:

  • Leadership Skills: Our programs develop leaders who can drive inclusive cultures, navigate change, leverage critical thinking and foster innovation.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: We emphasize the importance of collective effort and breaking down silos to achieve common goals.
  • Cultural Competence: By integrating diverse cultural perspectives, we help organizations build empathy, respect, and inclusivity at every level.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Our workshops focus on self-awareness, empathy, and resilience, equipping individuals to lead with emotional intelligence.

Our programs are not just DEI training. We help organizations solve real, tangible problems by closing leadership and culture gaps, equipping teams to thrive in a rapidly changing world. By developing the skills outlined in the WEF's Future of Jobs Report, our clients are better prepared to face the challenges of the future and build a truly inclusive, high-performing workplace.

We offer a range of immersive experiences designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients, whether for a single workshop or a comprehensive organizational transformation. Every program integrates our three foundational pillars, ensuring that the learning is grounded in diverse cultural wisdom and actionable strategies.
